Role Description The Senior Manager, Payments Products (18-Month Contract) is a full time remote role responsible for leading the strategy, development, and optimization of Vancity’s payments product portfolio. This role oversees product roadmaps for card, deposit, and digital payment solutions, ensuring they meet member needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
The Senior
Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams in technology, operations, risk, and marketing to deliver enhancements, launch new features, and improve the member experience. Day-to-day activities include analyzing market trends and performance data, managing vendor relationships, leading product initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in payments processes and capabilities. The role also provides leadership and guidance to team members,
supports change management efforts, and contributes to long-term innovation in payments services.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in payments products, including cards, digital payments, and deposit-related services.
- Proven ability to lead product strategy, roadmap development, and lifecycle management in a financial services or fintech environment.
- Strong analytical skills, including market research, performance measurement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience collaborating with technology, operations, risk, and marketing teams to deliver product enhancements and new solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills across diverse teams and partners.
- Track record of leading projects or initiatives, including planning, execution, and change management.
- Understanding of payments industry trends, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Leadership experience in managing or coaching team members in a product or business role.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, technology, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
