The Role

We are looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Senior Manager, Student Recruitment & Enrolment to lead student recruitment efforts and help drive continued enrolment growth.

This is a hands-on sales and recruitment leadership role for someone who thrives on connecting with people, building trust, and turning interest into enrolment. You will oversee the prospective student journey—from initial inquiry and outreach through follow-up, application, and enrolment—while identifying new opportunities to grow our student pipeline.

You will also manage and provide day-to-day leadership to a Junior Recruitment Coordinator, ensuring prospective students receive timely, consistent, and high-quality support throughout their recruitment journey.

The ideal candidate is a confident communicator who is comfortable picking up the phone, presenting to groups, attending events, travelling for recruitment, leading a junior team member, and working toward clear enrolment goals. An understanding of Banff National Park and the surrounding Bow Valley region, along with a genuine interest in the western Canadian adventure tourism industry, will be important in authentically representing the student experience and opportunities available within the region.

- Work toward established recruitment, application, conversion, and enrolment targets.
- Deliver engaging presentations and information sessions about the school, its programs, and student experience.
- Maintain accurate prospective student information and recruitment activity within the school’s CRM.

- Identify opportunities to strengthen lead generation, conversion, follow-up, and the overall recruitment experience.

Team Leadership

- Manage and provide day-to-day leadership to a Junior Recruitment Coordinator.
- Establish priorities, goals, and expectations for the recruitment team.
- Coach and support the coordinator in prospective student communication, follow-up, and recruitment activities.
- Create effective processes to ensure leads are managed consistently and efficiently.
- Take overall ownership of recruitment performance and enrolment results.

Travel & Outreach

- Represent Timberline Academy at high schools, career fairs, education fairs, community events, industry events, and recruitment activations.
- Develop relationships with schools, counsellors, educators, community organizations, industry partners, and other referral sources.
- Plan and execute recruitment trips in priority markets.
- Travel regularly throughout the recruitment cycle, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- Act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the school and the experience of studying, living, and working in the Canadian Rockies.

Recruitment Strategy & Growth

- Develop and execute annual student recruitment plans aligned with enrollment objectives.
- Track recruitment performance, lead sources, conversion rates, and enrollment progress.
- Use recruitment data and prospective student feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure campaigns, content, events, and recruitment materials support enrolment objectives.
- Identify new markets, partnerships, events, and outreach opportunities that can contribute to enrolment growth.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the ski, tourism, hospitality, and outdoor industries and the career pathways available to students.

What You Bring

- Experience in sales, business development, student recruitment, admissions, hospitality, tourism, or another relationship-driven environment.
- Demonstrated success working toward measurable sales, recruitment, or enrollment targets.
- Experience managing, mentoring,

or providing leadership to a junior team member.
- Robust relationship-building skills and the ability to guide prospective students through a considered decision-making process.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage a high volume of leads and conversations.
- Confidence with proactive outreach, including phone calls, presentations, networking, and in-person relationship building.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly.
- Familiarity with Banff National Park, the Bow Valley, and surrounding areas, or a strong willingness to quickly develop this knowledge.
- A genuine interest in the ski, adventure tourism, hospitality, or outdoor recreation industry.
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership of results.
- Experience in post-secondary education or student recruitment is considered an asset, but is not required.

Compensation & Benefits

- Annual salary of $85,000–$92,000, commensurate with experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Paid vacation and additional paid time off.
- Opportunities for professional development and growth.
- The opportunity to work in a unique post-secondary environment connected to Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies.
- Apply via [email protected]
