Role Overview
Elm Design Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team. This position is based in Timmins, Ontario and requires the successful candidate to work from our Sudbury office. This role does not accommodate remote work.
The successful candidate will support and lead mechanical engineering projects, work directly with clients and project teams, and provide technical guidance throughout design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support mechanical engineering projects.
- Prepare and review mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site investigations and provide construction support.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in Northern Ontario.
- Experience with building, industrial, or related mechanical systems.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage projects and work independently.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is considered an asset.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
