Position summary Huron Canada is looking for a Senior Project Manager to own overall client and project success on Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management implementations for manufacturing clients, with a strong preference for automotive industry background.
The primary mandate is program leadership: governance, schedule and budget discipline, risk management, and the relationship‑building skill to earn trust with client executives and shop‑floor stakeholders alike, across complex, multi-workstream programs that combine core ERP implementation with AI‑assisted capabilities. Direct functional or technical experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management is a valued bonus that helps this person direct delivery teams more effectively, but it is not the core of the role: this is a program leadership and client outcomes position, not a hands‑on functional or technical build role. This is a client‑site role based in the Toronto, Ontario area, and requires Canadian citizenship.
Senior Project Manager, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Solutions Toronto, Ontario area. On client site, with travel as the engagement requires.
Key responsibilities Program and project delivery Overall accountability. Own overall client and project success on Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management implementations, from planning through go‑live and hypercare, on time and on budget.
Planning and governance Build and maintain integrated project plans, resourcing plans, RAID logs, and status reporting aligned to Huron's delivery methodology and PMI‑aligned project management principles.
Scope and risk control Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and elevate and resolve issues before they threaten milestones.
Workstream direction Direct and coordinate functional and technical workstream leads, translating their progress into business terms for client and Huron leadership, without needing to perform the configuration or technical work personally.
Executive reporting Run steering committee and executive status reporting, translating technical progress into business terms.
AI‑assisted implementation Incorporate AI‑assisted implementation tools and Copilot capabilities into delivery workstreams to accelerate configuration, testing, data migration, and documentation.
Continuous improvement Work with functional and technical leads to identify where AI assistance shortens cycle time without compromising quality or control.
Team and stakeholder leadership Global team leadership. Lead multinational project teams across Canada, the United States, and Huron's global delivery centers, coordinating across time zones and cultures.
Relationship building. Build and sustain trusted relationships with client sponsors, business process owners, and plant or operations leadership.
Vendor and partner coordination. Manage subcontractors, ISV partners, and Microsoft resources engaged on the project.
Mentorship.
Mentor project coordinators and junior consultants on Huron's delivery approach and project management discipline. Quality and business alignment Business alignment. Apply strong business acumen to connect the D365 solution design to the client's manufacturing operations, financial close, and supply chain processes.
Quality discipline. Enforce meticulous attention to detail across configuration, testing, cutover planning, and documentation.
Ownership and initiative. Act as a self‑starter who identifies gaps and drives them to closure without waiting to be asked.
Required qualifications Canadian citizenship (required for this client engagement).
Willingness and ability to work from the client site in the Toronto, Ontario area, with travel as the engagement requires.
8 or more years of project management experience owning overall delivery success on Tier-1 ERP implementations, in a role accountable for client outcomes, not solely for functional or technical workstreams.
Demonstrated experience delivering ERP projects in a manufacturing setting.
Proven ability to manage multinational, cross-time-zone project teams, including onshore and offshore delivery resources.
Working knowledge of project management methodologies and governance (PMI, PMP, Agile, or equivalent) and the discipline to apply them consistently.
Strong executive presence, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of a client organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to steering committees and senior client leadership.
Preferred qualifications None of the following are required. They are bonus attributes that strengthen a candidate's ability to direct a Dynamics 365 delivery team, on top of the core program leadership qualifications above.
Direct, hands‑on functional or technical experience with Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
Functional or technical depth in D365 F&SCM; modules relevant to manufacturing: production control, cost management, master planning, warehouse management, or quality management.
Automotive industry experience, including OEM or Tier1/2 supplier environments.
Experience incorporating AI‑assisted tools or Copilot capabilities into ERP delivery.
PMP, PMI‑ACP, or equivalent project management certification.
Microsoft certifications relevant to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
Prior consulting experience at a systems integrator or professional services firm.
What makes you successful in this role Deep business acumen. You connect the technical solution to the client's operating reality and can speak fluently with both a CFO and a plant manager.
Self‑starter and motivator. You take ownership of outcomes, anticipate problems, and drive the team forward without close supervision.
Meticulous. You hold the details of a complex program in view at the same time as the big picture.
Relationship builder. You build trust quickly and sustain it across the life of a multi‑year engagement.
MUST BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN TO QUALIFY FOR TN VISA AND TRAVEL TO U.S.
