Our client, a leading institutional investment organization, is looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support an ongoing enterprise platform transformation and reporting/data initiatives within their investment operations environment.

This is a hands-on technical BA role for someone who can work closely with business and technology stakeholders, understand complex data and system requirements, support testing and platform changes, and work with SQL and Power BI to analyze, validate, and report on investment data.

As the Senior Technical Business Analyst, you will support an ongoing enterprise platform transformation, including system changes, data enhancements, testing, and reporting initiatives. You will work closely with business, technology, and investment operations teams to gather requirements, analyze data, support testing, and ensure system and reporting changes meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities will include

- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements for enterprise platform and system changes.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand processes, data requirements, and system impacts.
- Support testing, UAT, test planning, test cases, defect tracking, and validation for platform and data changes.
- Use SQL to query, extract, validate, reconcile, and analyze data across multiple systems.
- Develop, enhance, and validate Power BI reports and dashboards to support business and investment reporting.
- Perform data analysis and investigate discrepancies between source systems, platforms, and reporting outputs.
- Support data mapping, data validation, and data quality activities associated with system and platform changes.
- Analyze current-state processes and assist with defining improved future-state processes and solutions.




- Translate business requirements into clear technical and functional specifications for technology teams.
- Work with developers, data teams, QA, and business users throughout implementation and testing cycles.
- Support ongoing enhancements as additional data, products, and functionality are incorporated into the platform.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data processes, and operational efficiency.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst within financial services.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing complex datasets.
- Strong Power BI experience, including report/dashboard development and data analysis.
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, documentation, process analysis, and stakeholder management .
- Hands-on experience with testing, UAT, test cases, defect management, and system implementations or enhancements .
- Experience working with complex data environments, including data mapping, reconciliation, validation, and data quality .
- Strong Capital Markets, Investment Management, or Pension Fund experience.
- Experience working with investment products such as derivatives, equities, fixed income, or other financial products is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of investment operations, financial data, and/or investment reporting environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background: Candidates with experience in Pension Funds, Asset Management, Investment Management, Capital Markets, or institutional investment environments are strongly preferred. Experience supporting enterprise platform transformations, investment data projects, or technology implementations within these environments will be highly valued.
