Shop Attendants responsible for preparing all sleds for tours, sled maintenance, fuel sales and shop upkeep, as well as assisting with sled rescue/retrieval.
Our guides live and breathe the elements of great adventures and strive to provide memorable mountain experiences with our guests' safety and enjoyment as top priorities. They must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests.
Job Duties
- Ensure machines are checked, videoed, and prepared for tours/rentals (lined up, warmed up, fueled, clean, sufficient oil for the day)
- Creating a memorable guest experience and exceeding expectations.
- Lead and instruct groups of guests with variable experience levels.
- Be familiar with terrain and avalanche conditions.
- Ensure guest safety at all times. Carrying of proper avalanche safety gear and first aid supplies.
- Help out other team members and departments as needed.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all operations related aspects – products, policies, and procedures
- Strong communication with the whole Great Canadian Tours team
- Maintain a fun,
supportive and positive workplace
- Pre- and post-trip inspections of machines with guests.
- Fueling and sled/gear maintenance.
- Trailer sleds to/from other riding locations.
- Snow clearance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, multitasking.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Mechanical repair & maintenance experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Effective communication internally and externally.
- Snowmobiling experience is an asset.
- Min. 80h first aid certification such as OFA 3 or Wilderness First Responder.
- Min. AST1, Avalanche Operations Level 1 – (snowmobile specific) is an asset.
- Guiding or instructing experience is an asset.

Pay: From $22.50 per hour
