LeeCaring Communities is an Edmonton-based non-profit organization that provides publicly funded Long Term Care services in two locations: Edmonton Chinatown Care Centre and HolSome Place. Our mission is to create resident-focused communities that are respectful, caring and compassionate, where residents are encouraged to live each day with purpose and belonging.

The Chance A full time, permanent, Site Director is being recruited to provide leadership to the Edmonton Chinatown Care Centre.

The Site Director will have responsibility for delivering a 96-bed long-term care program in Edmonton’s downtown and to residents primarily from the Chinese community. With the support of the Director of Operations, the Site Director has a key role in creating an enriching setting where people find meaningful opportunity to live, work and volunteer.

The Site

Director is the face of the organization and is effective in building relationships with residents and their families, staff, volunteers, community stakeholders and key contacts from Assisted Living Alberta.

The ideal candidate will possess:





· A passion and commitment to seniors and a thorough understanding of resident centered care.

· Proven leadership experience.

· Skilled at engaging employees.

· Proven business acumen with a strong demonstrated social/community service orientation. Able to make quality business decisions and generate results.

· Ability to work collaboratively with other partners and within the larger healthcare system.

· A passion and commitment to senior’s care

· A willingness to learn and understand Chinese cultural traditions and how it views aging and the role of elders.

· Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset but not required.

Formal Education:

· The Site Director must be a Regulated Health Professional

· A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant Health Profession

· Certificates in Geriatric Care/Gerontology, Mental Health and Palliative Care are desirable.

Experience:

· 5+ years of leadership experience in a health-related environment including supervision of care staff.

· Experience in care of the elderly and dementia care.

Compensation The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: $57.45-$74.02 per hour
