SUMMARY Reporting into the Operations Director, the Site Supervisor is responsible for supporting and driving the successful, on‑time, and within‑budget execution of shoring projects from start to finish. This role plays a critical part in the operations team and works closely with on‑site crews, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients. You will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations, ensuring strict safety compliance, managing jobsite logistics, and serving as the primary on‑site representative for GIP to deliver high‑quality project outcomes.
PRIMARY SCOPE OF ROLE
Project Execution & Planning
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Plan and organize jobsite logistics and workflow.
- Order and manage materials and equipment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate, and support on‑site crews.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure clear communication of tasks and expectations.
Safety & Compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture on site.
- Conduct hazard assessments and enforce proper PPE usage.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
- Lead near‑miss reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary on‑site representative of GIP.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients and subcontractors.
- Address and resolve site issues promptly and diplomatically.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in shoring or heavy civil construction supervision.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Expected Base Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year.
- The actual base salary will depend on several factors including experience, qualifications, internal equity, work location, and market expectations.
