Job Type: Full Time – 32-40 Hrs/week ($18.25-$19.00 per hour)
We're looking for a Smokehouse Packaging Worker to join our team and help bring our locally smoked meats and cheeses from the smoker to the shelf.
Your role will directly support the high-quality, locally smoked products sold at all 8 Red Barn Market stores and served in restaurants across the city. We'll train you in every stage of our smokehouse packaging facility, from receiving product to packaging, labelling, and shipping. No experience necessary, just a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a sharp eye for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Packaging & Labelling: Package smoked meat and cheese products in accordance with company standards.
- Operate Equipment: Operate packaging machines and scales.
- Food Safety: Ensure products meet quality and food safety standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine equipment safety checks.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist with end-of-day cleaning procedures.
Qualifications
- Availability: Must have weekend availability, with shifts starting as early as 7 AM.
- Physical Stamina: Be able to work in a cool environment, work while standing, and lift up to 40 Lbs.
- Team Player: Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to work well as a team and independently.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to neatly and accurately label products, spot issues, etc.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively.
