Help Students Discover Their Musical SparkAt Sing Music Studio, our mission is to bring a sparkle to the eyes of everyone we touch.

We believe music education is about more than learning an instrument. It builds confidence, creativity, connection and essential life skills.

Our instructors — we call them Sparklers — create engaging learning experiences through private lessons, group classes, bands and performance opportunities, while building meaningful relationships with students and families.

We are currently looking for music educators with strengths in one or more of these areas:

- Piano — beginner through advanced
- Guitar, electric guitar, bass and/or ukulele
- Early childhood music
- Group music instruction
- Band and ensemble leadership

Preference will be given to versatile educators who teach multiple instruments and are excited about both private and group instruction.

What You'll DoDepending on your experience and strengths, you may:

- Teach engaging private lessons in your primary instrument(s)
- Work with students from age 4 through adult
- Lead or support group music, band and ensemble classes
- Prepare students for performances throughout the year
- Communicate with students and families through our online platform
- Adapt your teaching to different learning styles, personalities and needs
- Build relationships that support student confidence, growth and long-term success
- Collaborate with our teaching and administrative team
- Use technology and online resources to enhance learning

Curriculum is provided for our group programs.

What We're Looking For

- Music Degree or Diploma, or currently studying toward one
- Ability to teach your primary instrument to an advanced level
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience
- Comfort with group instruction
- Comfort teaching JK level students and up
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
- Commitment to teaching for a minimum of one year, with interest in developing a meaningful long-term role

Schedule

Our school-year teaching hours are:
- Monday–Thursday: 3:00–9:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am–3:00pm

You do not need to be available for all of these hours. Scheduling is based on studio needs, your availability and the programs you are qualified to teach.

Optional summer work, including day camps, may also be available.

Compensation & Role

- Part time subcontractor position
- Teaching rate starting at $26/hour, based on experience
- Non-teaching work, including training, assisting and some event support, paid at Ontario minimum wage
- Monthly payment by e-transfer; invoice required
- Opportunities for additional teaching, summer work and role expansion
