The Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the flower shop. This includes managing staff, serving customers, preparing floral arrangements, maintaining inventory, and helping grow sales.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and arrange floral orders.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Manage daily store operations.
- Supervise, train, and schedule employees.
- Hire and support staff when needed.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies.
- Reduce waste and manage stock efficiently.
- Create attractive floral displays, bouquets, and wreaths.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Develop marketing ideas to increase sales.
- Review invoices and control payroll costs.
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays,
and busy floral seasons.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Experience in the floral industry is an asset.
- Knowledge of flowers and floral design, or willingness to learn.
- Solid leadership and teamwork skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with inventory management.
- Good organizational and computer skills (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace).
- English required; French is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
