Responsibilities for Tactical Security Guard in Barrie
- Monitor the site for unauthorized persons, loitering, suspicious activity, and unauthorized encampments.
- Provide a visible security presence and deter trespassing, unauthorized access, and suspicious activity
- Ensure the safety of staff, visitors, and the public
- Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports
- Enforce site policies and security procedures
- Proactively identify and address potential security concerns before they escalate.
- Approach individuals on-site in a skilled and respectful manner and request that unauthorized persons leave the property when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and use professional communication and de-escalation techniques to resolve situations safely.
- Contact police, 911, or emergency services when required based on the circumstances.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate patrol and activity records as required.
- Work independently while maintaining a professional and customer-service-focused approach at all times.
Qualifications for Tactical Security Guard in Barrie
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and WSIB-approved First Aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
- Previous Use of Force (UOF) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training is an asset
- Previous tactical or security experience is an asset
