About Symplistic.ai
Symplistic.ai is an enterprise AI company headquartered in Bonita Springs, Florida, and Woodbridge, Ontario. We design, build, and deploy enterprise AI agents and provide consulting services that help organizations move from AI strategy to production.
Working closely with IBM, our team delivers agentic AI solutions that connect enterprise knowledge, automate workflows, integrate with existing systems, and solve real business challenges.
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Sales Development Representative (Technical SDR) Intern for a four-month internship from September 14, 2026 to January 14, 2027 to support our business development and joint go-to-market initiatives with IBM.
This role combines technical understanding with outbound sales. You will learn how Symplistic.ai and IBM technologies work, identify organizations that could benefit from enterprise AI, and communicate technical solutions to business and technology decision-makers.
A significant part of the role involves cold outreach and meeting generation, so candidates must be comfortable with proactive outbound outreach. At the same time, you will need to develop enough technical knowledge to understand customer challenges, discuss AI solutions credibly, and identify where technologies such as AI agents and IBM watsonx Orchestrate could fit.
Responsibilities
- Develop a working technical understanding of Symplistic.ai solutions, AI agents, IBM watsonx Orchestrate, enterprise integrations, and common AI use cases.
- Research organizations, their technology environments, business challenges, and key technical and business decision-makers.
- Conduct outbound cold calls alongside Symplistic.ai and IBM teams to introduce relevant enterprise AI solutions and identify potential opportunities.
- Develop personalized cold-email and follow-up campaigns based on each prospect's organization, technology environment, and potential AI use cases.
- Conduct initial discovery and qualification conversations to understand business requirements, existing systems, technical challenges, AI initiatives, and potential integration needs.
- Translate technical AI capabilities into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify qualified opportunities and schedule discovery meetings and technical demonstrations with Symplistic.ai and IBM sellers.
- Use AI-enabled tools for account research, prospect prioritization, outreach personalization, messaging development, and sales preparation.
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, technical discovery, and opportunity information within CRM and sales tools.
- Collaborate with Symplistic.ai leadership, engineering, and IBM teams to refine technical messaging, target accounts, use cases, and outbound campaigns.
- Track calls, emails, responses, meetings, and qualified opportunities and use performance data to continuously improve outreach.
- Participate in product demonstrations and technical enablement sessions to continuously build knowledge of enterprise AI technologies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in AI, enterprise technology, software, and technical sales.
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and explain them clearly to others.
- Comfortable discussing technology with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable conducting high-volume cold calling and cold emailing.
- Curious and confident asking technical and business discovery questions.
- Organized and able to manage a large pipeline of prospects, outreach activities, and follow-ups.
- Self-motivated, coachable, professional, and comfortable working toward measurable targets.
- Familiarity with AI, APIs, cloud platforms, enterprise software, CRM systems, or software development is an asset.
- Previous sales, customer service, business development, or technical experience is an asset but not required.
