Commencement Date: September 14, 2026, to June 18, 2027
The purpose of the school-based Technology facilitator is to respond to school staff's basic technical questions and be the school liaison with the District Technology Facilitator and District Technicians.
MajorDutiesand****Responsibilities
- Participate in District Technology Committees as school liaison regarding the school's technical needs/wants.
- Monitor the school's equipment status and condition.
- Respond to basic user support and assistance.
- Refers problems to District Technician via work order system, as necessary.
- Communicate the ethical use of ICT resources and adherence to copyright laws.
These positions will be available at all in-town schools on an annual basis. When filling these positions, normal porting and filling language will not necessarily apply, ie: seniority, and experience. Remuneration for each Technology Facilitator will be five hundred dollars ($500.00) per annum and fourteen hundred dollars ($1400.00)
and three (3) days for additional pro-d to be used during the year of appointment. As this position is not one to deal with emergent issues, no FTE is applied. If a teacher applies for more than one school site, they will receive the $500.00 per school remuneration but the extra $1400.00- and 3-days pro-d for only one school site.
Theapplicantmust****possess:
- BC Teacher Regulation Branch certification
- Proficiency in Computer use (Apple Platform)
