Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Telecommunications Directional Drilling and Installation Crew Member to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on essential infrastructure projects that keep communities connected. As part of our crew, you will be instrumental in installing and maintaining network infrastructure using directional drilling techniques and various installation methods.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

· Responsible to review and fully understand civil construction drawings and locates and their implications on the installation and completion of all handholes/vaults, pedestals, conduit tie-ins, proofing of conduit and installation of cable.

· Responsible to review and fully understand RPB expectations and client standards and specifications surrounding the installation of handholes/vaults, pedestals,



conduit tie-ins, proofing of conduit and installation of cable.

· Responsible to coordinate with project foreman, assist with planning for activities, and organizing materials, equipment, and personnel to execute those activities.

· Responsible for effective communication with labourers and equipment operators to ensure all works undertaken adheres to RPB expectations and client specifications and standards with minimal to no re-work required.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision to complete tasks – installation of handholes/vaults, pedestals, conduit tie-ins, proofing of conduit and installation of cable.

· Ability to trouble-shoot encountered complications, collaborate with team members to derive solutions to encountered complications, and communicate/present solutions to foreman if/when an escalated decision is required for resolution to maintain progress.

· Demonstration of accountability to project foreman, responsible for receiving direction from project foreman and delivering on that direction through the collaborative efforts with other team members.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
