An Automotive Tire Technician is a skilled member of the Tire Department who reports to the Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities An Automotive Tire Technician is responsible for performing the following duties:
- Perform tire inspections.
- Mount/dismount and balance all types of tires on all types of rims.
- Uninstall and install rim and tire packages onto Cars, Trucks, Vans and SUVs.
- Repair tires when they are safely repairable.
- Rotate tires, check and adjust tire pressures, install and set tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
- Other duties, as assigned
The regular hours in the Tire Department are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The Tire Department is also staffed seasonally on Saturdays from 9:00am - 2:00pm providing additional paid hours. REQUIREMENTS In order to be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Experience in the automotive tire industry an asset
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry 50lbs
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
