Master Auto Service is a family-owned and operated automotive repair facility that has proudly served drivers in Sydney and the surrounding Cape Breton community for more than 50 years.

We are known for providing honest, dependable automotive service and for treating our customers and employees with respect. Our shop provides a wide range of automotive services, including tire and wheel service, brakes, exhaust, engine and cooling systems, suspension and steering, diagnostic work, maintenance and Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Inspections.

We are looking for a Tire & Automotive Service Technician(s) to join our team.

About the Position

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with vehicles and wants to build or expand their career in the automotive service industry.

The successful candidate will perform tire services and general automotive maintenance while working alongside experienced technicians. While tire service will be an important part of the position, there will also be opportunities to develop experience with other areas of automotive repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, remove, rotate and balance tires
- Inspect tires, wheels and related components for wear, damage and safety concerns
- Perform tire repairs and seasonal tire changes
- Mount and dismount tires using shop equipment
- Perform wheel balancing and tire rotations
- Assist with wheel and tire inspections




- Perform oil changes and routine vehicle maintenance
- Assist technicians with automotive repairs and maintenance
- Check fluid levels and perform basic vehicle inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Properly use and maintain shop tools and equipment
- Follow all workplace and vehicle safety procedures
- Identify potential vehicle concerns and bring them to the attention of the appropriate technician or manager
- Assist wherever needed to keep the shop operating efficiently

Experience & Qualifications Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:
- Tire installation and repair
- Tire mounting and balancing
- Oil changes and routine maintenance
- Shop equipment and tools
