We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and the ability to perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of freight, utilizing forklift equipment as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transportation
- Adhere to all local, state,
and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety
- Perform basic automotive repairs on the truck to ensure optimal performance
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and logistics operations
