Tumbling Coach / Instructor

Alpha Cheer and Tumbling is hiring tumbling coaches and instructors for immediate opportunities at our Aurora facility. We are looking for experienced coaches as well as strong former gymnasts, cheerleaders, tumblers, dancers or acro athletes who are ready to develop as instructors.

Pay and hours

- $18–$25 per hour, based on experience, qualifications and responsibilities
- Approximately 12–24 hours per week
- Private lessons are a major part of this role and are paid at the employee's regular hourly rate
- Part-time, permanent, in-person position

What you will do
- Teach safe, engaging tumbling classes to recreational and competitive athletes across a range of ages and skill levels
- Plan and deliver drills and progressions appropriate to each athlete's level
- Provide hands-on spotting within your demonstrated training and qualifications
- Lead meaningful private lessons with clear goals and athlete-specific feedback
- Maintain a positive, encouraging and athlete-centred training environment
- Follow Alpha Cheer and Tumbling's safety, attendance and communication procedures
- Help maintain organized, safe training areas and equipment

What we are looking for
- Experience in tumbling, gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, acro or a related discipline




- Coaching or instructional experience is preferred; exceptional former athletes who are ready to train as instructors are encouraged to apply
- Sound judgment, dependability and a strong commitment to athlete safety
- Clear, professional communication with athletes, families and colleagues
- Availability for regular weekly hours, including relevant evenings and weekends
- Existing coaching credentials and First Aid are assets

Career development Alpha provides internal training and a structured professional development program, including credits toward approved paid credentialing. There are opportunities to grow into additional coaching, private-lesson and leadership hours.

Screening

Successful candidates must satisfy Alpha Cheer and Tumbling's screening requirements, including a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check when eligible and required for the role.
