Government is seeking a motivated Uumajuit Warden to assist in the Nunavik Wildlife Protection Plan. You'll patrol the territory, ensuring regulations are upheld, and assist wildlife protection officers with verifications.
Your role will involve engaging with the community and facilitating education on wildlife regulations, making a significant impact on conservation efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Nunavik territory to enforce regulations
- Assist wildlife officers during verifications of residents
- Verify hunting and fishing access rights
- Inform community about applicable wildlife regulations
- Collect data on marine mammals and provide reports Requirements:
- Three years in wildlife protection or fisheries conservation
- Robust traditional land skills considered
- Clean moral character with no criminal convictions
- Two languages: Inuktitut, English, or French
