Vehicle Dynamics Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to support vehicle Ride & Handling development using advanced driving simulation and vehicle testing. The role will focus on suspension, steering, tires, and overall vehicle dynamics optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Evaluate and optimize vehicle Ride & Handling using driving simulators.
- Support suspension, steering, and tire development through simulation and analysis.
- Validate suspension architecture, steering, and tire requirements before vehicle mule builds.
- Define suspension and steering hardpoints in collaboration with Chassis, Packaging, and Powertrain teams.
- Conduct subjective vehicle evaluations and tuning at proving grounds.
- Analyze test/simulation data and present results to management.
- Support vehicle programs from concept through development.

Required Qualifications

- M.S. in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited program.
- 1–5 years of experience in Vehicle Dynamics / Ride & Handling.




- Experience with vehicle dynamics simulation tools such as ADAMS/Car or CarSim.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and controller development.
- Strong understanding of Ride & Handling, Kinematics & Compliance, Suspension, Steering, and Tires.
- Experience with subjective Ride & Handling evaluation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Valid driving license.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Willingness and ability to travel to the USA.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in suspension, steering, or tire component design.
- Experience with VI-CarRealTime, VI-DriveSim, and SimWorkbench.
- Driving simulator experience.
- Solid data analysis and presentation skills.

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
