Cape Breton Beverages is a fourth-generation, family-owned Pepsi bottling franchise. The company has been operating in Cape Breton for 75-years, and together with its sister company Trans-Atlantic Preforms employs over 100-people on Cape Breton Island. We locally produce Pepsi, 7-Up, Schweppes, and Crush soft-drink products and distribute other beverages including Aquafina, Montellier, Bubly and Evian waters, along with Gatorade, Dole, Lipton, Starbucks, Guru, Rockstar and Celsius beverages to Cape Breton Island, as well as produce specific packages of Pepsi and other-branded soft-drinks for the rest of Atlantic Canada, Quebec, and Ontario. Description

Reporting directly to the Sales Supervisor, the Vending Technician is responsible for servicing vending equipment across an established route. This includes restocking machines, collecting and reconciling cash, maintaining product quality and presentation, and ensuring overall machine functionality.



The successful candidate will also be responsible for delivering product for its sister company, Nova Scotia Spirit Co.

This is a part-time position offering approximately 24 - 40 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Route Service and Product Delivery:

Service vending machines on an established route

Restock machines and execute promotions

Ensure all customers are serviced daily

Deliver product to scheduled customers

Cash Handling and Reconciliation:

Collect and reconcile cash using handheld systems

Complete daily settlements and maintain accurate records

Merchandising and Maintenance:

Maintain product rotation, pricing, and presentation

Clean machines and ensure functionality

Perform minor repairs such as coin jams

Compliance and Operations

Follow all operating procedures and route schedules

Maintain reliable attendance and safety compliance

Skills and Qualifications:

Lift 20–45 lbs repeatedly

Push/pull hand trucks

Frequent bending, reaching, and squatting

Must be able to work without supervision.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Clean criminal record/Bondable.

Organized and proactive with a sense of urgency.

Solution-driven team player willing to help when needed.

Ability to build long-lasting customer and stakeholder relationships.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
