The Perth Veterinary Clinic is a locally owned, small-town veterinary clinic with a robust reputation for compassionate care and exceptional service to our clients and their pets.
We are looking for a positive, caring and dependable Veterinary Assistant / Customer Care Representative to join our team.
We are a close-knit team that believes in supporting one another, having fun at work, and treating every client and pet with kindness, respect and compassion.This is a full-time position with a four-day work week. Saturdays are shared among the team and are in addition to the full-time schedule.
The successful candidate will be someone who:
-has a warm, outgoing and bubbly personality and genuinely enjoys helping clients
-has a strong love and respect for animals
-provides outstanding customer service, is friendly, compassionate and professional
-is reliable, organized and able to multitask in a busy setting
-works well as part of a team
-is comfortable communicating with clients both in person and on the telephone
-is willing to learn and take initiative
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities will include
-welcoming clients and their pets with a warm and friendly attitude
-answering phones and assisting clients with questions and appointments
-checking clients in and out
-scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records
-processing payments and other administrative duties
-assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians as required
-preparing exam rooms and helping maintain a clean, organized clinic
-handling and caring for animals appropriately
-assisting with basic patient care
-communicating with clients regarding their pets' care
-assisting with tasks within the clinic relevant to operation (laundry, cleaning)
-helping create a positive and welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors
