Role Description The Video Editor role at Ur Way Technology is a full time, on-site position based in Canada. In this role, the Video Editor will assemble, edit, and refine video footage to create compelling content that aligns with project objectives and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include organizing raw media, applying transitions and effects, performing color correction and grading, and integrating motion graphics or visual elements as needed.
The Video
Editor will collaborate closely with producers, designers, and other team members to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of video projects. Additional responsibilities may involve exporting and optimizing files for various platforms, maintaining project archives,
and suggesting creative improvements to enhance overall production value.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including working with raw footage, timelines, and multi-format outputs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure accurate color correction, visual consistency, and mood setting across projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create or integrate titles, lower thirds, animations, and visual elements that support storytelling.
- Proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and basic audio editing for dialogue and sound effects.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and adherence to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Relevant education or training in film, media production, digital arts, or a related field is preferred, along with a portfolio showcasing previous video work.
