We are a family owned, well established food distributor based in Burnaby B.C. supplying category leading food products to all major supermarket chains across Canada for over 50 years. We are seeking a reliable person looking for LONG TERM employment as a Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will work alongside our warehouse staff and perform general warehouse duties. This individual must be able to work with staff at all levels, multi-task and perform efficiently in a diverse work environment, as well as other duties assigned to the position. He or she should possess valuable personal, organizational and math skills as well as the ability to operate warehouse equipment.

Warehouse Associate duties and responsibilities
- Accepting and processing incoming shipments including unloading trucks with forklift and/or pallet jack and at times hand-bombing onto pallets.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages or short shipped product
- Order fulfillment, pulling and filling orders from inventory, wrapping and prepping orders then loading into trucks
- Accurate inventory management and tracking
- Organizing inventory and optimizing floor space
- Respecting the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse
- Experience driving a 5 ton truck would be an asset (our truck requires just a regular class 5 required)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, kneel and general movement for extended periods while wearing steel-toed shoes
- Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift is a preferred asset (if necessary we will provide off site certification for the successful candidate)
- Previous warehouse shipping/receiving experience is an asset
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
