Role Description The Warehouse A.V. Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Ottawa, responsible for supporting the preparation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for live events. This role includes organizing, testing, and troubleshooting A.V. equipment such as audio consoles, video systems, lighting equipment, projectors, and cabling to ensure readiness for deployment.

The technician will assist with equipment check-in and check-out processes, maintain accurate inventory records, and perform routine cleaning, repairs, and firmware updates as needed. Daily tasks also involve collaborating with event and technical teams, packing and labeling gear for transport, and ensuring that equipment is stored safely and efficiently.

Technician contributes to smooth event operations by maintaining high standards of reliability, safety, and organization in the warehouse environment.

Qualifications

- Strong technical skills in audio-visual equipment setup, testing, and basic troubleshooting, including familiarity with audio, video, lighting, and presentation technologies.
- Experience with equipment inventory management, including labeling, tracking, and maintaining organized storage systems in a warehouse or technical environment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on A.V. equipment, with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards and procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with operations, event, and technical teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Good physical stamina, with the ability to lift, move, and transport A.V. equipment and cases safely, following proper handling practices.
- Basic computer skills, including use of inventory or asset management software, email, and documentation tools.
- Minimum 3 years experience in audio-visual, live events, warehousing, or technical support is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical coursework or certifications in audio-visual technology or related fields are considered an advantage.
- Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and maintaining a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
