Insight Global is looking for an Intermediate Estimator to join a large rail-infrastructure project. This individual will sit within the Track Alliance and play a key role in developing accurate, detailed, and defensible estimates for complex rail, track, and heavy civil infrastructure scopes. This is a highly technical and collaborative workplace where communication, analytic ability, and large-scale infrastructure experience are critical.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on estimating experience, a background in heavy civil or rail/track work, and the ability to lead and mentor a small team while still executing technical estimating work themselves.

The Senior

Estimator will be responsible for reviewing drawings, tender documents, design models, and project scope to understand what needs to be priced across rail/track and civil infrastructure packages. They will develop detailed quantities, bills of quantities, material pricing, labour rates, equipment requirements, crew assumptions, and cost models to support project estimates. They will lead or mentor one to two estimators, review estimating work, help establish estimating guidelines, and work closely with project managers, design teams, construction teams, executives, subcontractors, and suppliers to validate assumptions and ensure estimates are accurate and aligned to project objectives.
