Our client is seeking a dedicated Water Resources Civil Engineer to join their specialist team in Kimberley . This role focuses on the sustainable management and design of water-related infrastructure, including water supply systems, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control. You will play a key role in developing innovative solutions for water challenges, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and community needs. This on-site position allows for direct engagement with project sites and stakeholders, contributing critical expertise to water infrastructure development in the Northern Cape region.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the implementation of water supply, distribution, and treatment systems.
- Develop and manage wastewater collection and treatment solutions.
- Plan and design stormwater management infrastructure, including drainage and flood control measures.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses for water resource projects.
- Prepare detailed design reports, drawings, specifications, and environmental impact assessments.
- Ensure designs meet South African water standards, environmental legislation, and client requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in water resources engineering .
- Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, HEC-RAS) and CAD software .
- Experience with water quality analysis and treatment technologies.
- Strong understanding of South African water resource management policies and regulations.
