Elevate your welding career as a Journeyperson Welder with Burgundy Diamond Mines at the Ekati mine site, operating on a two-week on/off rotation. This role focuses on surface welding and fabrication management. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will handle various welding tasks within Fixed Plant Maintenance.
Desired skills include proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding techniques, and experience with heavy plate welding up to 50mm. Emphasizing safety compliance, you will protect yourself and others while maintaining critical machinery year-round. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute general welding and fabrication duties
- Maintain and repair crusher and sizing machinery
- Perform welding on heavy plates to required standards
- Read blueprints and technical drawings proficiently
- Follow strict safety protocols and guidelines Requirements:
- Red Seal/Interprovincial Journeyperson Welder certification
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of ASME standards preferred
- Class 5 driver license required
