Norse Log Homes is seeking an energetic, positive person for our entry level log peeling position. The job entails using a draw-knife to remove the bark from logs used in our log home building process. No experience is necessary, all training & tools will be provided. The only thing you will need to supply is your own steel-toed boots. Ideally would like a long term employee who would be interested in learning about moving into building in the future.



The position pays piece work / per foot (or minimum wage during the training period, whichever is higher). Within two weeks training it is expected employees are able to peel two logs per day which is about $21/hr. Many log peelers are earning in the $30/hr range within a few months. This is a year-round position, with the prospect to advance on to our log home building crew if desired. Please drop resumes off in person Monday-Friday between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at the Norse Log Homes lot at 7411 Industrial Rd, Lantzville (approx. 3km north of Woodgrove Mall).
