Job details • Location: Abbotsford, BCV2S 8A7 • Salary: $22.50 hourly / 40 to 48 hours per week • Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time • Languages: English • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma • Experience: Experience an asset Responsibilities Tasks • Supervise, coordinate and oversee the work of 16–20 farm workers and harvesting labourers. • Organize and assign daily work activities to farm workers. • Supervise and coordinate blueberry growing, cultivation and harvesting activities. • Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions. • Tie and secure plants. • Perform weeding and other crop maintenance activities. • Monitor workers' performance and productivity.
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. • Maintain quality control and production records. • Maintain work records and logs. • Hire and train farm workers. • Train workers on farm procedures, safety requirements and proper crop handling. • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including harvesters. • Perform general farm duties.
