Position Title: Service Now Senior Developer

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Service Now Senior Developer to support the implementation and enhancement of the Service Now CMDB and Security Operations capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on development, configuration, integration, scripting, testing, and platform optimization.

This role requires extensive experience with Service Now development, Discovery, integrations, workflow automation, and CMDB configuration.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1: CMDB Foundation (Primary Focus)

- Configure and optimize Service Now Discovery schedules.
- Install, configure, and maintain MID Servers.
- Configure Discovery credentials and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain Identification and Reconciliation Rules (IRE/IRR).
- Configure CI class structures and CMDB relationships.
- Build CMDB dashboards, reports, and health metrics.
- Support business service mapping activities.
- Develop and maintain demonstration environments and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Perform code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

Phase 2: Security Operations Enablement

- Configure Service Now Security Operations components including Vulnerability Response and Incident Response.
- Develop integrations with vulnerability management and security monitoring tools.
- Configure automated workflows, routing rules, notifications, and assignment groups.
- Implement SLA monitoring and escalation processes for security incidents.
- Support security data ingestion, normalization, and workflow automation.

Required Qualifications





- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Service Now development experience.
- Solid experience with:

- Experience configuring and supporting:
- Service Now Discovery
- MID Servers
- CMDB
- Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE)
- Experience developing REST and SOAP API integrations.
- Familiarity with Service Now Security Operations and associated data models.
- Experience performing unit testing, troubleshooting, and production support.

Preferred Qualifications

- Service Now CSA certification.
- Service Now CAD certification.
- Experience working with CMDB and Discovery implementations.
- Experience integrating vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, or cybersecurity tools.
- Knowledge of CSDM principles and Service Mapping.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale Service Now environments.
