Evertz is seeking a hands-on Lab Engineer for its Markham location to enhance product development of IP switch fabric and SDI routers. This fully in office position emphasizes lab management and technical support.

In this Lab Engineer role, you’ll be integral to the networking device development team, ensuring efficient operations and support for CI/CD processes. Your expertise in Python and Bash scripting will aid in developing utilities that improve lab functionality, while your understanding of networking concepts will support device organization and troubleshooting efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organize and maintain network cabling in the lab
- Rewire devices per engineering requirements and tests




- Install and replace lab equipment like servers and switches
- Handle and troubleshoot optical transceivers effectively
- Maintain the CI infrastructure, including updating Jenkins

Requirements:

- Degree or diploma in relevant technical field
- 1–2 years experience in scripting languages
- Basic understanding of Ethernet and cabling types
- Familiarity with broadcast AV equipment
- Strong attention to detail in documentation
