we are committed to growing MDA’s and Canada’s leadership in this next golden age.ResponsibilitiesAct as the day to day advisor to the Business Development and Program Management team on contractual matters related to commercial transactions applicable to the Satellite Systems business unitNegotiate, draft, review and execute agreements with both commercial and government counterpartiesProvide thorough and timely review/management briefings of documents drafted by other parties identifying, evaluating and mitigating liability and risk exposure to MDAAdminister customer and subcontractor agreements throughout the life of the contract, including change order management, amendments, claims, and inputting customer contracts into the ERP systemProvide support to the proposal team, including review of all aspects of the request for proposal, responding to terms and conditions, and proposal submissionEnsure that commercial transactions of the business are managed in a manner consistent with the relevant contractual obligationsSupport the creation, revision, and implementation of policies, processes and tools related to the origination, drafting, negotiation, signing and subsequent administration of complex commercial transactionsSuch other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Director or Manager of Contracts and SubcontractsWork Experience requirements4 to 8 years’ experience as a contracts/transactional qualified within the aerospace, defense or high-technology industries, with experience in drafting, negotiating and managing complex and high profile transactions with both commercial and government entities.
