About the Role:

As a CBRE Building Operator (Union), you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, building systems, and equipment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What you'll do:

- Perform general building maintenance/repairs (e.g., lighting, door repairs. etc.)
- Pump teardown/minor repairs/alignment
- Air balancing
- Conduct generator tests
- Escalate unusual events/occurrences to supervisor




- Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable codes
- Conduct chemical treatment tests
- Complete maintenance of metal/plastic pipe systems
- Participate in review of operating policies/procedures as
- required
- Monitor work of contractors/external service providers to ensure adherence to company/industry standards
- Troubleshoot/repair building automation system
- Complete general mechanical/maintenance duties
- Maintain/align fan/air handling units
- Complete belt inspection/replacement
- Perform minor repairs: replace washers/faucets; clear sinks, toilets and drains; explicit grease traps/sumps; re-pack valves; replace pumps/motors; reset breakers, etc.
- Complete filter changes
- Ensuring maximum energy efficiency, inspect/
- operate
- maintain and repair mechanical/electrical systems and equipment (including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, generators, life safety system, etc.)
- Start-up/shutdown major building equipment
- Complete preventive/demand maintenance tasks; input histories if
- required
- Review and complete daily entries into engineer's log
- Perform daily rounds and log readings
- Respond to tenant requests and emergencies
