Good Shepherd is seeking a part-time Youth Support Worker for its Notre Dame House to assist youth aged 16-21. This position involves case management, crisis intervention, and empowering youth through life skills and educational support. The role requires flexibility to cover various shifts including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assessment and intervention for youth in crisis • Facilitate life skills training programs such as cooking • Advocate for clients' needs and link them to community services • Participate in health and safety programs • Support personal goal achievement for youth clients
Requirements: • Post-secondary education in social services or related field • Experience working with youth in a residential setting • CPR certification or willingness to obtain it • Commitment to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices • Knowledge of Ministry Guidelines for youth treatment
