MathematicianThe Mathematician will design and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate math learning activities for elementary students enrolled in Centre Canada’s Horizon Summer School. Responsibilities include preparing daily lesson plans, creating hands‑on problem‑solving exercises, demonstrating foundational math concepts, supporting group and individual learning, and adapting instruction for different skill levels.The participant will facilitate math workshops, supervise small learning groups, guide students through numeracy challenges, and integrate creative approaches to help students build confidence and enjoyment in mathematics. They will assist with classroom management, transitions between activities, and collaboration with other instructors to ensure smooth program flow.The youth employee will also prepare learning materials, maintain straightforward progress notes, record attendance digitally, and support end‑of‑program demonstrations or student showcases.
