Lead our Manufacturing Plant's safety initiatives as a Safety Program Coordinator. Focus on compliance, organize safety training, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Supervisor, this role involves promoting compliance with safety laws and conducting audits. You will be pivotal in maintaining accurate safety records and ensuring that all staff are well-informed about safety procedures. Collaborate closely with manufacturing employees to conduct job hazard analyses and enhance safety policies actively.
Key Responsibilities: • Ensure current compliance with all safety legislation • Conduct safety audits and communicate findings • Manage recent hire safety orientations and training • Maintain and update safety documentation and information • Oversee first aid kits and emergency equipment
Requirements: • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills • Experience in safety program administration • Background in a manufacturing setting preferred • Post-secondary education in a safety-related discipline • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
