The ideal candidate for the position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises.Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glassClean and service restrooms with mops and disinfectantKeep areas neat and tidy; dust furniture and clean surfacesFollow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, clean the warehouse floor.Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, parking lotRemove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.Set up, arrange,



and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.Recycling cardboard, removing damaged wood into bin, removing trash.Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.Perform other duties as assignedQualified candidates must possess:1-year janitorial experience & excellent references are requiredPhysically fit and capable of lifting or moving objects up to 35 pounds as necessaryKnowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous componentsWillingness to work weekends, early mornings or late night shiftsAbility to work under minimal supervisionCapacity to take directionStrong attention to detailPhysical/Environment:Physical Demands:Activities: Walking/Standing – 100%Lifting: Frequently lift up to 35 lbs.Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb.Setting:Shop/warehouse/office.
