What is the opportunity?The Associate Director of Business & Performance Management for Global Markets Transaction Services provides operational and analytical support to drive performance management, cost optimization, and organizational effectiveness across the pillar. This role serves as a key business partner to leadership, translating operational data into actionable insights while supporting process improvements, compliance monitoring, and strategic initiatives.The Associate Director acts as a bridge between senior management and operations teams, ensuring alignment of the Global Markets Transaction Services group with broader Capital Markets objectives. This role reports directly to the Director of Business & Performance Management and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, technology, and compliance to ensure optimal resource allocation, effective risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.Job DescriptionThe Associate Director of Business & Performance Management for Global Markets Transaction Services provides operational and analytical support to drive performance management, cost optimization, and organizational effectiveness across the pillar. This role serves as a key business partner to leadership, translating operational data into actionable insights while supporting process improvements, compliance monitoring, and strategic initiatives.The Associate Director acts as a bridge between senior management and operations teams, ensuring alignment of the Global Markets Transaction Services group with broader Capital Markets objectives. This role reports directly to the Director of Business & Performance Management and works collaboratively with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, technology, and compliance to ensure optimal resource allocation, effective risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.What will you do?Business Performance Management & AnalysisSupport the development and maintenance of performance measurement frameworks, including KPIs, metrics, and dashboards for the pillarConduct business performance reviews and analytics, translating operational data into insights and recommendations for senior leadershipAssist in defining and updating pillar KPIs in coordination with the operating committee lead, with monthly monitoring and reportingPartner with finance, operations, and technology teams to ensure data quality standards and reporting infrastructureSupport root cause analysis to identify performance gaps and inform strategic and tactical interventionsDevelop reporting tools and assist in the creation of business intelligence capabilities to support evidence-based decision-makingCost Management & Financial Planning SupportSupport annual budgeting and financial planning processes for the pillar, including headcount and resource analysisAssist in monitoring and analyzing operating expenses,



identifying variances and opportunities for corrective actionSupport the development of business cases and ROI analyses for operational projects and improvementsIdentify and quantify cost optimization opportunities through process improvement analysis and efficiency recommendationsAssist with pillar NIE review and develop recommendations to reduce spendSupport financial forecasting and reporting accuracy in coordination with finance partnersOperational Performance & Risk MonitoringMonitor and track pillar KPIs, operational risk events (OREs), and audit findings, supporting timely escalation and resolutionIn partnership with process subject matter experts, assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and process risksSupport the monthly Senior Leadership Forum by preparing materials and tracking KPIs, audits, regulatory reporting, and EUCsEnsure current state processes are documented and compliance with regulatory requirements is monitoredSupport process improvement initiatives and recommend areas for simplification and efficiency to managementHeadcount & Resource ManagementSupport evaluation and monitoring of headcount within the pillar, ensuring resources are optimizedAssist in ensuring employee roles have explicit, detailed, and updated proceduresSupport organizational assessments and resource allocation recommendationsCollaborate with HR on workforce planning and organizational change management initiativesStakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional SupportCollaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, operations, technology, project management) to support capex projects and operational initiativesFacilitate communication and alignment between senior management, operations teams, and other key stakeholdersProvide data-driven advice and recommendations to leadership on pillar decisionsSupport coordination with project managers, business transformation groups, compliance, and risk management teamsWhat do you need to succeed?Must haveMinimum 7+ years in business management, strategy, operations, or finance roles, with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and board/executive-level supportStrong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, variance analysis, and business economics; ability to interpret financial statements and translate financial data into strategic insightsAdvanced proficiency in Excel (modeling, data analysis, complex formulas) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations); comfort with business intelligence and analytics toolsProven skills in story boarding and developing meeting materials used in executive-level decision makingProven ability to build credibility and influence with senior leaders; excellent communicationskills (written and verbal); ability to navigate competing priorities and build consensus across functionsAbility to synthesize complex information, identify root causes, think systemically, and develop actionable recommendations aligned with organizational objectivesDemonstrated capability to conduct structured analysis, use data to inform decisions, and challenge assumptions constructivelyNice to havePrior experience in investment banking, trading, wealth management, or other Capital Markets functions; familiarity with CM business models and regulatory environmentExperience driving organizational change initiatives, adoption of new processes, or transformational programsFamiliarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)Prior experience implementing or managing OKR frameworks or balanced scorecard approaches at scaleWhat's in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
