Their primary focus is estimation of mechanical sheet metal projects under the direction of leadership. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform take-offs from construction drawingsEstablish costs of labour and materials for mechanical projectsMaintain a strong knowledge of and list of suppliersEnsure costs of goods and materials are in line with industry standardsIdentify best costs and ratesEvaluate and review proposal specifications to identify scope of workEnsure accuracy of estimatesWHAT YOU CAN OFFERDegree or Diploma in Estimating, HVAC SystemsSkilled Trade Certificate5+ years’ experience estimating mechanical sheet metal projectsSKILLS,



ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSAdvanced knowledge and understanding of:Blue print readingSheet metal design interpretationIndustry materials and costsOrganization and time managementProficient user of:MS OfficeAutobid SMProcoreCamDuct or Est/MEP would be an assetThe expected salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $95,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package.
