Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Standards and Training Instructor will be required to liaise with Top Aces staff as needed to develop, manage and continuously improve the Top Aces Maintenance Training System(s). This role will be accountable to all departments (Flight Safety, EH&S;, Compliance) and will report to the Base Lead.Responsible for the initial training and integration of new employees and ensures liaison for reception, safety instructions and qualification of training on each operational platform.Develop and monitor the training program for recent employees, ensuring that the initial aircraft qualification path for a newly hired technician is on track and report any challenges.Contribute as a resource person and mentor for newly hired technicians for policies, procedures and the training of technical personnel in the use of company software and systems.Responsible for training on the use of ground support equipment.Promote and facilitate the culture of professionalism in maintenance, safety and continuous improvement to all Technicians; aid in carrying out training tasks or briefings on behalf of the Safety and Compliance Group or in accordance with the company Maintenance Training Standards Manual (TRG-M07).Provide onsite recurrent training for Technical Qualifications.Assist in organizing externally provided training on or off site (ground school).Promote compliance with the company's Environmental Health and Safety program:Working in compliance with EH&S; acts and regulationsFollowing safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipmentReport workplace hazards and dangersPromote company safety objectives and ensure that all base activities adhere to the Company MCM and MPM, Transport Canada regulations, DND regulations, Top Aces Flight Safety program, Top Aces Environmental Health and Safety program, Foreign Object Elimination, CGP and security regulations.Support Top Aces safety programs and Quality Management System.Other related duties may be assigned by DOM/PRM, PM CATS or YBG Base Lead.Secondary DutyThe employee may be assigned to technician responsibilities at the discretion of the Base Lead when operational needs require it.Education and/or Work Experience RequirementsFull-time permanent employee with 8 years’ minimum experience with Top AcesFlight line and heavy maintenance experience on Top Aces operational platform, an assetTransport Canada AME licence, an assetCompany issued ACA on at least one Aircraft, an assetComputer literate in Microsoft Office suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)Above average knowledge of:Aircraft Maintenance Software (RAMCO)MCM MPM and related documentsSharePoint (Maintenance Manuals / Technical Library)AbsorbHumble and approachable with strong communication skillsPrevious training background,
