Support hearing health as an Audiometric Technician with the Vancouver Island Health Authority. Conduct clinical audiology services and community screenings in a flexible, casual role.
This position supports the provision of high-quality audiology services, involving travel to various healthcare sites. Reporting to an Audiologist, you will focus on newborn screenings and enhancing the auditory well-being of families and the community. Ensuring safety and quality in patient care will be your priority while working closely with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical audiology services at health facilities • Perform newborn hearing screenings with precision • Engage families and community for audiology awareness • Document patient information and maintain confidentiality • Support multidisciplinary teams in patient care
Requirements: • Completed Grade 12 with relevant experience • Experience in clinical settings, particularly with infants • Robust organizational and communication abilities • Capability to manage travel between sites • Physical ability to handle required audiometric equipment
