The Oneida Nation of the Thames seeks a Family Support Worker dedicated to serving children and families. This role provides support within a culturally rich context, focusing on prevention and familial wellness.

Successful candidates will have an educational background in social services and a minimum of two years’ experience in child welfare. This position requires collaboration with families and local agencies to address and alleviate child protection concerns, ensuring effective support for community members. Flexibility in working hours is required.

Key Responsibilities:



• Provide culturally grounded family support and advocacy • Collaborate with prevention services and Child Aid Society • Facilitate skill-building and resource access for families • Promote risk reduction while strengthening family ties • Engage in community education and culturally responsive practices

Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Social Work or relevant degree preferred • Minimum two years in child welfare or related fields • Deep knowledge of Oneida culture and history required • Class 'G' Ontario Driver’s License needed • Submission of a Vulnerable Sector Check before hire
