As a strategic member of a national senior management team, you will providing specialized support and operational guidance within a reputable and growing high performance investment counselling firm.You will be working closely with Managing Directors, Investment Counsellors and Associate Portfolio Managers to provide leadership and guidance for activities and processes related to managing client investment portfolios, including client discovery, Investment Policy Statements, suitability, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk alerts, performance attribution and reporting.What will you do?Pro-actively participate in regional/national projects to continuously improve portfolio managementPrepare pre-approval review of all Investment Policy StatementsAct as a key resource regarding complex files – with an excellent understanding of portfolio theory, the tax and regulatory setting and related wealth management considerationsManage client investment portfolios, including client discovery, suitability, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk alerts and performanceUnderstand High Net Worth (HNW) client expectationsMaintain mandatory governance reporting; be audit-orientedFacilitate quick identification and mitigation of business risks.Identify unique/individual training needs and deliver training programsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveUniversity Degree (preferable in Business and/or Economics)Minimum 10-years investment industry experienceOutgoing personality and ability to confidently communicate compliance and portfolio management issues, build trust and credibilityIn-depth understanding of the regulatory environment/corporate governanceStrong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to understand business risks,
