Job Summary and Requirements This posting is for one (1) 6 month casual position.

The Land Development Branch works with communities, in support of their official community plans, to develop a range of lots to meet short and medium-term demand, and plan for their land development needs for the long-term.
The branch is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and delivery of Yukon government land development projects within Whitehorse. In partnership with First Nations and stakeholders, the Land Development branch explores and facilitates land development opportunities.
About the Position: This position provides administrative, financial, project, records management and reception support to the Land Development branch staff. This includes providing assistance to the Director/Manager Finance and Program Administration, and branch staff as land development projects are initiated, planned, constructed, priced and turned out to the public. This position has the opportunity to contribute directly to the management of the branch’s mandate of developing various types of lots in the City of Whitehorse and rural communities.

Essential Qualifications Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications.

Post–secondary coursework in office administration or a related field
Solid experience performing a wide variety of administrative support services (i.e., drafting and proofreading documents, maintaining filing systems, working with databases) with a focus on filing systems
Experience providing financial administration such as receiving payments, reconciliation and invoicing
Experience using a wide variety of computer programs, applications, or software such as computerized financial systems, word processing, spreadsheets and databases
Experience using Yukon Government computerized financial systems (i.e., FMIS, Quest and Front End) would be an asset.
Experience working with the Yukon Government’s Procurement Policy would be an asset.
Experience working in a land development process would be an asset.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be equally considered.
