The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the planning and design of land development projects involving roads, storm and sanitary sewers, watermain and stormwater management systems.Work assignments include class environmental assessments, servicing studies, feasibility studies; water distribution and sewage collection analysis; conceptual design;preliminary design; completion of final design and drawings including coordination of utilities and other engineering disciplines and sub‑consultants.The variety of work provides challenges for the successful candidate to advance their skills and practical experience in a team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the design and implementation of land development projectsPrepare design calculations, report writing, project coordination and managementPrepare submissions and applications for required approvals as well as prepare cost estimates, tender documents, specifications and construction contract documentsConduct construction inspection and assist with contract administration, including preparation of requests for quotation, contract change orders and proper invoicesInteract with client and external parties as required for project needsKey Position RequirementsDegree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline1-5 years of engineering design experience, preferably in the consulting environmentAbility to obtain P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario or C.E.T/C.Tech designationsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication and technical writing skillsEnthusiasm to work in a team structure and a willingness to guide, help and collaborate with othersUnderstanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and standardsDemonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently under minimal supervisionBilingual (English/French) would be an assetValid driver’s license and reliable transportationWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation, benefits, health spending
