The organization values strategic thinking, accountability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results for its clients.Position SummaryThe Associate Vice President, Accounts is responsible for leading and developing the firm's Accounts function, ensuring exceptional client service, strong team performance, and operational excellence across the entire Accounts team. As the senior people leader for the department, this role oversees talent development, performance management, workforce planning, and account delivery standards while building a high performing, engaged, and accountable team culture.Working closely with the leaders of kg&a;, the Associate Vice President, Accounts translates business objectives into departmental priorities and execution plans, ensuring client teams are appropriately resourced, supported, and positioned for success. While maintaining client success, the primary focus of this role is leadership of the Accounts function, talent development, operational effectiveness, and business performance.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesBuild an engaged, accountable, and collaborative team cultureCoach and develop leaders across the Accounts functionSupport performance management, career development, and succession planningPartner with leadership on recruitment, onboarding, retention,
and employee engagement initiativesHelp cultivate the next generation of leaders within the organizationLead workforce and resource planning across the departmentBalance workloads and optimize team utilizationIdentify capability gaps and proactively plan for growthEnsure teams have the support and resources needed to deliver exceptional workDevelop and improve processes that drive consistency, efficiency, and qualityPartner with account leaders to navigate complex client situationsSupport strategic client discussions and growth opportunitiesMonitor portfolio health, client satisfaction, and service deliveryHelp ensure account teams consistently deliver work that meets client objectives and kg&a; standardsSupport revenue, utilization, retention, and profitability goalsMonitor departmental performance and forecastingIdentify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and expand servicesSupport business development and strategic growth initiativesContribute to organizational planning and continuous improvement effortsQualifications & Experience12+ years of progressive experience in client service, consulting, agency, or professional services environmentsSignificant experience leading managers and multi-level teamsA proven track record of building and developing high-performing teamsStrong experience in coaching, performance management, and talent developmentExperience overseeing resource planning, workforce capacity, and operational effectivenessStrong business and financial acumen, including budgeting and forecastingExceptional communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability at all levelsA strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and organizational growthExperience in communications, public relations, consulting, design, architecture, development, real estate, or other professional services environments is considered an asset.Workplace Requirements and Conditions:Hybrid – three (3) days per week in officeLocated in downtown TorontoKg&a; offers a competitive salary plus advantages.We do not utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the screening, assessment, or selection of applicants.
