Provide expert orthopedic care as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces' Medical Specialist team. This role entails delivering surgical care and playing an essential part in CAF's medical operations, both at home and overseas.In your role as an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will lead surgical teams and educate others in trauma care while ensuring your clinical skills are current. You'll work in civilian hospitals and military settings, contributing to the overall health care policies of the CAF, while occasionally deploying in challenging environments.Key Responsibilities:Conduct orthopedic consultations for military membersLead surgical teams for emergency care in various settingsEducate medical teams on orthopedic treatment approachesEngage in clinical practices at civilian health facilitiesInfluence health care policy within the CAFRequirements:Must have an unrestricted license to practice Orthopedic SurgeryMembership in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons requiredDemonstrated leadership and educational skillsCommitment to military training and readinessWillingness to deploy for operational dutiesLeverage your medical expertise and leadership to make a significant impact on the health of CAF members.
