The City of Red Deer is seeking a dedicated Parks Labourer 2 to support its vibrant Parks system. This full-time role involves leadership in reclamation projects, managing snow and ice control, and maintaining GIS data. The successful candidate will operate equipment and follow best horticultural practices to fulfill key responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance and training to Parks Labourers during tasks
• Perform maintenance and construction duties per City guidelines
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance




• Communicate effectively with the public and contractors
• Manage purchasing and documentation for parts and supplies
Requirements:
• Minimum 1.5 years’ experience in horticulture or landscaping
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License
• Standard First Aid certification
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Experience in staff mentoring and teamwork
